We process albums in 4 steps from beginning to end.
1. (You) Pick photos for the album
2. (We) Design the album, requires 3-4 weeks approximately
3. (You) Approve album design
4. (We) Submit Album design to album company for printing, require 3-4 weeks approximately
Picking the Photos
You pick the photos for the album right through your private gallery of wedding photos or you can also pick them on your own computer after you get the DVD disc with all photos. To pick them through the gallery, you simply pick “favorites” by clicking on the heart icon under each picture you want added to the album. You can review what you’ve picked by clicking the “my account” link on the right side of the gallery towards the top. When you’re done picking the photos you email the studio to let us know you’re finished and from there we begin to design your album. To pick the photos on your own computer simply write down the file numbers and submit to the studio via email, either way works great!
Number of photos to pick:
We recommend the following number of photos according to album size. Staying within these numbers allow for a dynamic and strong design by including a combination of large images into the design as well as medium and small sizes. If you can’t help but pick more photos than the recommended amount, we recommend you submit them anyway and we will do our best to include them into the design and if we happen to go over the number of pages in your album you will have the option to take some out or to add additional pages.
Wedding Albums in sizes 10×10, 8×12 and 8×8 with 15pages/30sides, we recommend 70-80 photos, and for 20page/40sides we recommend 80-100 photos.
Wedding Albums in sizes 10×13, 12×12 and 11×14 with 15page/30sides, we recommend 85-95 photos, and for 20page/40sides we recommend 95-120 photos.
Engagement Session sign-in guest book album in size 10×10 with 15pages/30sides, we recommend 20-25 photos.
Cover Photo
Some of the albums we offer include a cover photo, such as our line of metallic cover albums and our acrylic cover albums. Please select one photo preferably in vertical form and one that is rich and vibrant in color as they print well with these covers. If you need any recommendations we would be happy to help you. You are also welcome to choose several photos and request our opinion over which may the strongest in things such as sharpness quality, color richness and so on.
