I showed this slideshow to my 12, 10 and 6 year olds and they went crazy, they watch it 3 times in a row, they said dad that was a really nice event and it was very awesome indeed! I had a great time being there and enjoying this celebration and of course photographing it even more!! This girl just had one amazing birthday party, just amazing!!

As promised, I have more and more pictures to share from the wonderful celebration this family put together for their beloved daughter. The ceremony was held at the great Calamigos Ranch. Calamigos is this great paradise tucked in between the canyons of Malibu and hidden away from all the noise of the city, a great place for a celebration. It oozes the whole Malibu Ranch feel with dusty roads, the steep hills of the canyons all around, the green and lush trees with long lazy branches, not sure about the narrow driveway to get in to the parking lot but all in all I really love this place. I loved how the photos came out too in crisp and vibrant mid-morning light, very-very beautiful. And this young lady is very beautiful in deed, with sparkles in her eyes and in her smile and with those pretty heart earrings, I think she looks beautiful in these photos. Bat Mitzvahs ceremonies are great me! I enjoy all the aspects of the traditional songs, the readings, the great significance of the presence of the Torah, the faces on the families in full joy to celebrate this milestone, I love it!! So as you can imagine, being there to photograph it was quite an icing on the cake for me. Here are just a few of the photos from the amazing ceremony performed by Rabi Cantorli-Paz.

This beautiful young lady is going to be celebrating her Bat Mitzvah in a big way in just a few weeks, pretty exciting!! Mom called me up for some portraits at the beach last minute, plans changed fairly quickly and the session was moved to her home. All in all a pretty typical session, I anticipated a few wardrobe changes, some with cool shades of colors, others a little warmer and my favorite, the one on the stairway, very high fashion. These are showing the soft and beautiful pleasing wraparound light that I love to photograph in. The plans for these images is to have one of these printed life-size and displayed at her reception. I love how youthful and full of energy she looks, she’s beaming obviously!!
