Here are some getting ready shots of Melody & William’s wedding in Downtown Los Angeles a few weeks ago during what was a really nice summer day in Southern California, not too warm and not too overcast.  For all of my typical weddings I prefer to start to photographing the couples while they’re getting ready where ever this maybe as it is usually a time of  high enthusiasm and great expectations when “The Day” has finally arrived and the suspense of tying the knot  is playing out brilliantly.  I tend to focus on the photojournalistic moments that are playing in front of me which present themselves but for a mere seconds and are usually gone as quickly as they showed up and on to the next one.  These getting ready shots were taken at the LA Athletic Club just across the street from where Melody & Williams would host their ceremony and reception at Oviatt Penthouse.
