Los Rios District Engagement Session | Elise & Wes

Engagements

“You’re My Happy Place”

What a year, what a year!! I photographed my first engagement photo session since the pandemic began. I dusted up all of my cameras and it still feels so ureal to do so. I haven’t had any events/celebrations to photograph since late February. Not the case for Real Estate Photography because I also photograph a lot homes in that industry and they have not been impacted as much. Personally, I’ve taken the break in stride and I’m not fussing up at all! On the contrary, it’s given me plenty of time at home to catch upom what matters most to me, and that is my loved ones and my faith.

When Aristotle once said, love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies, he had Elise & Wes in mind. These two lighthearted romantics who love all things nature are going to be getting married next month at one of my favorite places here in Los Rios, The Tea House. We had planned for this session a week prior but because of the fires/smoke from all the fires going on we had to reschedule. Los Rios is such a pretty location for romantic engagement sessios. I have been photographing couples and families here for years and it’s always pretty with rustic colors and textures that help make this place very special.

We had our session on a Sunday which proved to be just perfectly timed for more privacy and less crowds. I like my engagement photo sessions to show the couples as if there’s no one else but themselves in the frame. We stopped along the old Paddi Station coach train which makes for a fantastic prop. They laughed and strolled and gazed at each others eyes and gazed even more, each time both convinced they belong in each other’s arms forever and ever.

So looking forward to your wedding!!
