It was a BIG-event, over 3000 invited and paid guests in attendance all ready to celebrate the grand opening of the season and the new multi-million dollar facade renovation, and to top things off it was America’s birthday, the BIG 4th of July weekend.
Getting there was a huge challenge as there was a brush fire in the canyon which closed the main roads in/out of Laguna. We saw the air fire tankers fighting the blaze doing some INSANE maneuvering, thought I was watching Top Gun. But we cleverly managed our way through some alleys and one way parking lots and ended up street parking a couple of blocks away. YEAH!!
The crowd was BUZZING with a fun vibe as people mingled and viewed art and enjoyed themselves with the band, dancing and having a great time.
It was also the debut of our shinny new FUN-TIME photo booth which had no problem making friends and showing everyone a good time.
BTW, the art here is out of this WORLD!! There’s a HUGE variety of paintings, photographs, sculptures, jewelry, handcrafted wood pieces, furniture, ceramics, glass and much more. If you’re thinking about coming here, you’ll love it. The beach is just a couple of blocks away and the festival is open daily for people to enjoy art exhibits, demos, workshops and so much more. All of the art is for sale and while some is reasonably priced, most of it I think is high ticket price, but so worth the visit.
