Hello, I’m John. Have we met yet?
Being a wedding photographer has given me the incredible privilege of witnessing, and documenting some of the happiest days in my clients’ lives. I’ve photographed intimate celebrations and I've also photographed the grandest of weddings, and each one has been deeply special to me. Along the way, I’ve formed beautiful relationships, some of which I still cherish to this day.
No two weddings are ever the same, and I approach each one by creating an experience that reflects your story and allows you to truly enjoy every moment. I like to say, don’t stress about the pictures, I’ll take care of that. Instead, focus on what truly matters: being present, taking in the emotions, the joy, and the laughter. Stay curious about what’s unfolding around you. Think about the moments you’re most excited to anticipate. And if you can, hire a wedding coordinator or day-of coordinator.
As I also like to say, brilliant moments are often all around us, waiting to be discovered and appreciated in the most special way. A captivated hold of hands, an inquisitive glance, matching each other’s colors. Nothing fancy, just the simple beauty of saying “I love you.” And as long as you’re present in those moments, I’ll be there with my camera, ready to press the shutter.
Think of me as your friendly storyteller, documenting your love story with warmth, care, and a eye for magical, unscripted moments. Let’s work together to create a beautiful collection of photographs that not only documents your celebration, but also reflects the true essence of the love you share.
With a focus on creating a simple yet understated wedding day while emphasizing time with family and friends, Celine & Hunter were married in Claremont, CA, at the historic Padua Hills Theater. The ceremony took place among a scenic grove of tall, beautiful olive trees, creating a very romantic setting. The views and splendor of the foothill mountains were evident all around the venue. I witnessed a beautiful and private first look just outside the venue’s bridal suite, where they came together to hold and embrace one another. The couple looked joyful throughout the day, celebrating with more than 200 guests. Congratulations tot he happy couple! Photographed by John Prado
Tamara & Michael were married in Downtown Los Angeles at The Oviatt Los Angeles. Surrounded by family and friends, they chose a timeless 1920s theme for their wedding. The happy couple looked both elegant and sophisticated in their wedding attire, perfectly complementing the venue’s historic charm. The Oviatt holds a rich history dating back to the 1920s and the golden days of old Hollywood. It’s truly a magical place, not only because of its character and story, but also for its location among the towering skyscrapers of the LA skyline. The day was simply beautiful for a spring wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple. Photographed by John Prado.
Kirstin & Aaron were married at Convict Lake Resort in the beautiful mountains of Mammoth, CA. Their wedding took place over Memorial Day weekend during what turned out to be a record-breaking snowstorm. Mammoth is a magical place, full of awe and wonder. The mountain peaks all around look tall and majestic, and being there makes you feel alive, like adventures are waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. In spite of the weather, the ceremony unfolded beneath clear blue skies, accompanied by the gentle sounds of a nearby stream, a beautiful grove of aspen trees, and the serene, majestic views of Morris Mountain. Congratulations to the Happy Couple! Photographed by John Prado
Love stories often take unexpected turns, and Meghan and Zac’s journey is a beautiful testament to that. High school sweethearts who once went their separate ways, they found their way back to each other, proving that true love always finds a way. Their wedding at the historic French Estate in Orange was a stunning celebration of their rekindled romance, set against a backdrop of Southern California’s signature blue skies, on a beautiful January day. Congratulations to the Happy Couple! Photographed by John Prado.

Capturing YOUR wedding season!
Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life. You’ll spend months planning, preparing, and dreaming about it. One thing that will stay with you for years to come is the photography from your wedding day. These are the images that will help you fall in love with your spouse all over again. Choosing the right Orange County wedding photographer is key to ensuring those photos capture all the meaningful moments of your day. Here’s how to choose a wedding photographer who will beautifully preserve your memories.
Have they been there? Do you like what yous see? - The most important factor in choosing a wedding photographer is style - does their portfolio reflect what you are looking for in terms of composition, lighting, and angles? Do they have the experience photography? This is too important to rush through. Weddings are very different from shooting any other type of photography. It’s important to find someone who knows how to handle complex and unexpected situations that can arise during a wedding.
Building a connection - It’s also essential that you feel comfortable around your Orange County Wedding Photographer; they will be with you on one of the most personal days of your life so it’s important that you both click. During an initial consultation ask yourself if this person understands what you want out of your photos and if they can keep up with all the moving parts during a typical wedding day like family formals, bridal parties, or guests arriving late or leaving early. A great way to gauge personality and connection is by meeting multiple photographers before signing a contract!
Cost Last but not least – cost should always be considered when hiring a professional photographer for any event including weddings! Photographers come in various levels depending on their experience, gear they own and use, editing process they offer, album design services etc… Be sure to find out exactly what each package includes before booking someone as there may be hidden fees like travel expenses or additional prints/albums should you choose them later down the line.
Your Vision - Choosing the right wedding photographer isn't just about finding someone who can take beautiful pictures; it's about finding someone who will understand your vision for capturing those perfect moments on your big day while also having an excellent personality fit. When searching for potential photographers remember to consider style and experience level first followed by personality connection then cost so that when you look back at your photos years from now it won’t just be about how beautiful they look but also about how much fun was had during the process!
